Welcome to the AsiaHEP public website. The Asia-Pacific High Energy Physics Panel (AsiaHEP) is a group to consider and discuss the science research, technology R&D and outreach in high energy particle physics (HEP). Currently the group consists of thirteen members from six Asian countries/regions actively engaged in high energy physics. Our members are the leading scientists commiting to the promotion of the field in the front lines of the HEP research in their countries/regions.
We are now in the most exciting time for the high energy particle physics. However, in reality, the number and variety of experiments/projects are obviously decreasing worldwide due to a conflict with the growing needs for large facility and large-scale upgrade.
In contrast to this, the high energy particle physics in Asia apparently keeps on growing at a fast pace. In our past meetings, we have heard a variety of interesting projects ongoing and planned in the Asian countries/regions. The Asian communiy is vigorously developing and carrying forward their own projects.
