| 6th ACFA Statement on the Linac Undulator Light Installation (LIULI) in Singapore |
ACFA notes that SSLS is working on the Linac Undulator Light Installation (LIULI) to contribute to the development of 4th generation light source concepts and the new science they enable. LIULI's goals include the development of an EUV/X-ray FEL based on a superconducting miniundulator (supramini) in conjunction with a superconducting linac, and the exploitation of the scientific and technological potential of such a source.
As ACFA is promoting international scientific cooperation and synergies it welcomes that this facility is intended to be a regional center open for partners interested in this field of R&D.
ACFA therefore endorses the creation of LIULI as a regional center for the development of 4th generation source concepts in Singapore and encourages member countries to join the effort.
